Co-Founders:

John D. Williamson:

Uvestor was founded in September 2008 by John Williamson.  Uvestor was born out of the realization that there was no logical way for an investor to market and sell a property to another investor. This concept was then put into motion by architecting a platform that could grow and expand its scope indefinitely.

Williamson’s experience in web application architecture and development provided the required expertise to plan and manage the development of a large platform that is capable of handling a variety of data and user interactions. John has managed the development and deployment of large corporate web applications designed to create significant efficiency gains. Additionally, John has managed the redeployment of a large Web 2.0 website, iHigh.com.

His combined experience with web application development, knowledge of the real estate marketplace and innovative approach help to keep Uvestor ahead of competitors technologically.

Christopher W. Combs:

Chris joined the company in May of 2009 to co-found Uvestor and was added to the management team as Chief Operations Officer. Chris has experience managing startup growth strategy, organizing business development and overseeing customer service teams for an e-commerce business.

Combs’ strategic approach and analysis to the business has added valuable insight into the growth strategy for Uvestor. Building on his direct experience within the web business industry and his management skills, he has coordinated the sales, communication and web marketing teams to work together to achieve specific goals with accountability. In addition to operations management, Chris oversees all venture financing and investment activity.

Chris was previously involved in a e-commerce startup, clearmyrecord.com, a solution for automating paperwork processing for legal documents.   He came on with the company as the sixth employee hired as Operations Director, overseeing ten states. Responsibilities included overall management of a staff of 5 including an attorney, as the company grew to over 50 employees.

This unique combination of experience with the detail oriented skills of operations management, venture financing skills and business development, with knowledge of startup technology ventures has applied directly to the growth strategy and development of Uvestor.

Executives:

Nick Huhn:

Nick joined Uvestor in November of 2009 as Vice-President of Web Strategy. Nick has designed and implemented web-based initiatives for some of the biggest brands in Louisville and around the globe during his career as a web strategist and interactive marketer.  As a contributing architect to the online customer experience at Papa John’s, Norton Healthcare and Yum! Brands, he’s built a career on mapping emerging and established technologies to strategic business objectives and interactive marketing opportunities.

A self-proclaimed “creative versatilist” Nick uses a variety of professional and international experiences to generate ideas and solutions that create value for the clients and employers with whom he works. Nick holds degrees in Economics and Spanish from Centre College and a MBA with a focus in Entrepreneurship from the University of Louisville.

Chris L. Waldeck:

Chris joined Uvestor in November of 2009 as a Vice-President of Finance. He is responsible for financial reporting and oversight as Uvestor organizes venture financing and launches their product. Chris brings extensive real estate knowledge and financial experience to the executive team. His entire career has been in real estate development where he has worked with companies of all sizes, from multi-national and nationwide developers to start-up and mid-size regional players. His diverse background includes management positions in product development, system/process oversight, operations, audit and finance.

He resides in Louisville, KY and holds degrees in Architecture from Kent State University and a MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. Always in search of a new experience, Chris has traveled extensively both nationally and internationally.
